Once again, WeTrade has successfully concluded another charity event, this time in Indonesia, specifically at the YAPIM Foundation in Tanggerang City. As a company that takes its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts seriously, we ultimately believe in the altruistic act of giving back to society.
Hence, we have been engaging in various civic engagement activities since our establishment in 2015. We have contributed in areas such as education, healthcare, environment, and humanitarianism.
Background of YAPIM
This time around, our Indonesian team went on a trip to the Banten province to find a branch of the YAPIM Foundation. YAPIM is an acronym in the Indonesian language which stands for the Empowerment of Independent Individuals Foundation. It is a small non-profit organisation to realise the welfare of orphans, the underprivileged and the impoverished.
Founded in 2018 by a group of entrepreneurs, the foundation accepts and distributes trust and aid from the public (individuals, community groups, companies, or institutions) to the unfortunate ones. While they have a lot of branches and distribute the aid to the recipients’ houses, they also have a few buildings to serve as an educational hub for orphans to learn.
Donations for a Better Future
We paid a visit to one of the schools in Tanggerang City, where around 40 orphans go to acquire knowledge daily. Our team did not just bring smiles, we brought essential supplies with us too. We contributed several items such as packets of rice, containers of palm oil, cartons of milk and various other dry goods as well. These contributions were carefully selected to address the basic needs of the children and contribute to their overall well-being.
Our Sincere Hopes
“May this donation bring joy and lasting benefits to each of the children. We trust that this donation will ease the burden these kids face and motivate them to diligently pursue a better future.We also hope that this contribution brings a positive impact on both the giver and receiver. May WeTrade and all of our dedicated staff be more successful in our careers and personal lives,” expressed Jeremy Yonathan, a representative from WeTrade Indonesia.
A Moment of Gratitude

We look forward to staying in touch with each other in the future,” conveyed one of the caretakers there at the YAPIM school in his heartfelt appreciation speech.
Time to Say Farewell
While we were there, we spent some time with the children, including praying with them (some of our Muslim staff), visiting their classes and engaging with them. After donating the items, it was time to say goodbye.
We commemorated the day by taking a few pictures together with the caretaker and the children. We truly wish our time with them that day created a meaningful memory for them as it did for us.
